教学过程中常常遇到学生关于长难句的剖析和了解不到位的情况，长难句的剖析和了解会影响学生在托福阅览的了解，尤其是在语句简化题。这次标题解析针关于TPO的一个长难句：

       ​本句的主句构造应当是Sediments are also dropped，but will be located inland at some future date; such beds are sometimes thousands of meters thick. 这是一个由分号离隔的并列句，分号前面的语句构造比较杂乱，Sediments are also dropped ，后边跟了一个由where引导的状语从句，紧接着这个状语从句又加上了一个刺进构造， the deposited sediments are on a lake floor or the seafloor at first， 然后才开端进行转机but will be located inland at some future date， 可是立刻又跟上了一个由when 引导的状语从句。分号后边的半句比较简单 such beds are sometimes thousands of meters thick.同学们面临这样的语句一定要先找骨干，把状语从句、刺进构造纷纷越过，从纷繁杂乱的语句中找出骨干来，才干不被ETS出题人改写的语句所利诱。
